The long-awaited Festivals Acadiens et Créoles made its Great Return with BBR Creative as a proud sponsor!
What started in 1972 as an effort to keep Cajun culture alive has since grown into a three-day event with a symposium, art exhibit, six stages of music and lots more. Festivals Acadiens et Créoles is now one of the largest FREE public events in the state of Louisiana and the largest Cajun and Creole celebrations in the continental United States.
BBR’ers, like many others in our community and across the country, have waited 2 long years for “Le Grand Retour” or “The Great Return” of Festival Acadiens et Creoles. This year we celebrated in the best way possible as a sponsor, providing a shady area for our employees and guests in the heart of Girard Park among family, friends, good food and great music. We were also able to celebrate our client-parter Slap Ya Mama as the Official Bloody Mary Sponsor of the event.
Did you know?
The Festivals Acadiens et Créoles we all know and love today originally began as three, separate events – CODOFIL’s annual Tribute to Cajun Music, Bayou Food Festival, and the Acadiana Fair & Trade Show. In 2008, the co-op officially changed its name to Festivals Acadiens et Créoles in order to more accurately reflect the cultures that have always been the focus of all components. Since their foundations in the early 1970s, all three components have consistently championed creative cultural continuity. Click Here to read the full history.
